PDX Summer School

Happy Holidays from PDX Summer School! We’re excited for reconnecting with friends and family. Plans for the 2012 summer program are well under way.

This Holiday season we ask you to help an English Language Learner achieve success in the classroom by making a donation to PDX Summer School.

• $35 buys books and teaching supplies for one student for the entire program

• $50 provides our students with the best curriculum available

• $100 pays for breakfast and lunch for a needy student for five weeks

• $200 supports hiring the most qualified teachers

The 2011 summer flew by! We had an amazing time watching our students come excited to learn. PDX Summer School teachers were encouraged by the progress students made in the small group setting. They are already planning on ways to improve our program for next summer!

PDX Summer School is currently working on gathering and analyzing student data. PDX Summer School teachers and board members will be working on making the 2012 program even more effective.

The PDX Summer School board is hard at work beginning our fundraising efforts for our 2012 summer program. We are tentatively planning a fundraising event in early December. Check out our Facebook page for updates!
